> Greasings!

Thanks for the additional info on 2100.

> The photo shown at:
> is not car 3555. The picture is of a 4800-4939 series car.

The above picture is neither 3555 nor 4800-4939 series but the car is
3556. The same photo shows in ERA Headlights July 1952 issue - a
reprint of which is available from PTM. This car, 3556, is 50-52 feet
in length. The 4800-4939 series was the standard length low-floor car -
check window count.

> Greetings!
>
> Good old ISP is acting up again. Received Ed's answer as
> "southbound at County Line" hours before Matt's question entitled: "This
> IS a tough One!" shows up and before Ed's response of ". . . tell me the
> signal
> number!"
> According to the July 1952 issue of *Electric Railroads,* this
> PRCo car 2100 http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/htm/wvp27.htm was
> made by the company shops by splicing two single truck cars together.
> While I have what I *thought* was an exhaustive listing of all PRCo
> equipment, this number does not show up on the list!
> And *Electric Railroads* identifies this same photo,
> http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/htm/wvp19.htm, as 3556, not 3555.
> This same photo is used in *Electric Railroads.* The builder is listed
> as Standard-Steel, PRCo. Being built in 1915, it was the predecessor of
> the 3700 series interurbans.
> http://davesrailpix.railfan.net/pitts/htm/wvp03.htm is another photo of
> the car on a cold day in Canonsburg. Note the windshield wiper!!! Had
> to be before January 28 1946 as that is when the car was scrapped by
> burning at Ingram. (*Electric Railroads* can still be purchased as a
> reprint from PTM.)
