You're right, the Ardmore parade was bigger in 1944, but I didn't want
to presume that the Internet and webcams could have been created that long
ago; 1966 was a little more realistic :-)

As I've observed before: Pittsburgh will soon have two stadiums more
than it needs. Here in Chicago, Wrigley Field (Cubs) was built in
1914, and Soldier Field (Bears) was built in 1924. Both continue
to be in use, and are actually in better condition than the teams that
play in them...

I also wondered why two of the cams are focused on Three Rivers Stadium.
I thought it might be part of a countdown in anticipation of the stadium
being imploded in February, 2001...

How about 1944 when there was a reason for the spacing signals on
Ardmore Boulevard. I was told that the rush hour frequency during
the
war was about every 2 minutes ... high speed cars, low speed cars,
PCCs,
anything in Homewood Car House that would run.

Why are TWO cameras focusing on the stadiums? To remind the populace
of
all their tax money that is being spent to make sports promoters
wealthy?
> Those of you in Pittsburgh may be aware of this already, but WTAE-TV's

seem to
>
> Spring Hill - there's a camera on Spring Hill which is the highest

Well, the
> third cam is located on the WTAE building on Ardmore Blvd. in Forest
> Hills. Think of it...if we had this cam (and the Internet)
in 1966, we
