

Other pieces of work equipment operating in 1951...from memory, (less
roster confirmation), aside from the several high floor scraper/tows and
line car M210 mentioned, were line car M212, crane M283, dump M551,
converted dump M555, flatbed M701, chemtank M517, and over a dozen
McGuires.
 
May have missed a few, but I think these were the last of PRC's fleet of
maintenance originals and conversions. Not included here are the many
passenger conversions to the "M" classification.

All hail those romantic beasts of burden...
keepers of the rail trails...preservers of the revenue trippers...

Yes, kind of begs the question, why would PRC need additional work equipment 
in 1951???  What would they be used for????  They had scrappers, they had a 
line car, they had a tow car.
