  Fred,

Please talk to me off-list to talk about acquisition of these shots.
They all sound great, including the Dengler shot with the Laketon Rd.
sign.
I've seen a couple photos with a 78 Snodders Switch sign. Was this
a made up sign by railfans? What is the story behind Snodders switch?
I may have been told before but my memory escapes me. Thanks!

                             Mark

Does 78 Oakmont-Verona count for 78 Laketon Road? There is a fairly
common picture of open car 3020 on North Braddock Avenue at Bennett
St (the typical company official picture) with an Oakmont sign. And
we have a picture of the trestle across Sandy Creek on the Oakmont
line with a car on it. I probably saw Laketon Road cars two or
three times a month when I was a kid because Wilkinsburg was then the
acceptable place for people in Penn Hills to shop or have dinner on
Saturday night if you didn't want to drive all the way downtown.
There is a picture of a 4200 in the Dengler collection with a Laketon
Road sign turned up. I just looked at my print yesterday.
Probably in the first ten numbers of the series.

When I scanned those 4200s today, I was astonished at how strong they
were compared to the 4250s and 4300s after the extra doors were
added. I can't find one picture of a sagging 4200! But you can
find 4350s where the doors opened up a 1/2 inch across one pair of
leaves.
