Ah, to be riding on a single track line in a winter wonderland!
I didn't do this often enough. Thanks for the nice photos Bob!

When I lived in Bethel Park in the 1970's, I commuted to/from downtown =
every day on the 36-Drake trolley. I lived about 1/2-mile from the =
Brookside stop, and somehow I survived walking on the shoulder of the =
roads in all kinds of weather (I carried a reflective board in my =
briefcase which I would hold as I walked facing traffic).

I also carried a camera. Attached are a couple of photos that I took at =
5:30 PM (well past sunset) on January 8, 1976 after I got off an =
outbound trolley at Brookside. The view with the signal light is =
looking north toward the passing siding and Ft. Couch Road; the other =
view is looking south toward Drake.

No trolley is visible in the photos, but the views are still =
interesting. Anyway, I took plenty of photos of trolleys at this =
location over the years.
