Right the first time.

Today Gulf is just another convenience store, probably owned/franchised by Cumberland Farms located in New England. The "real" Gulf Oil disappeared when it was merged into Chevron (?) around 1984/5 (?) Most of the "real" Gulf retail gas stations were eventually rebranded Chevron.

Chevron sold the North American license to Gulf Oil logo and some other products to Cumberland Farms about a decade ago. The current Gulf brand is used for marketing purposes.

> From: hrbran@cavtel.net
> Date: Mon, 8 Apr 2013 18:40:58 -0400
> To: pittsburgh-railways@mailman.dementix.org
> Subject: Re: [PRCo] Facebook page for posting photos of old andabandonedbuildings in Western Pa.
>
> Another business I though had long bit the dust is alive and well on
> Brownsville Road. The "Boron" Oil Company station inside Brentwood Loop is now a tax
> and accounting office. The loop is still busy with buses, however.
