<body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'>On a brighter note, I made it from Kittanning to PTM on Wednesday, even though it took 30 minutes longer than normal. (Normal is 90 minutes on a weekday.) After the inspection run we went straight back into the barn as the skies opened up once again and lightning was flashing around. The creek along the Arden section of the line was high, but presented no danger. There is a guy wire on a pole near Arden Loop that will need to be moved as it is getting precariously close to not being in the ground due to bank erosion. We had decent passenger loads for most of the day, but as typical for a weekday, no last trip. The other scheduled operator could not make it in, but luckily Dave Carpenter was in town, so we enjoyed the day running New Orleans 832. Very appropriate for a day where the dew point was in the low 70's. I left Washington at 4 and was home well before 6. The storms held off until i was home.<br><br><div>Dennis F.
