is indicated that the car numbers were 60, 61, 62, 63, 64 & 65. They<BR>were
built by Cincinnati Car Co in 1928-1929 originally for the<BR>Indianapolis &
Southeastern. They each weigh 38,000 pounds, they are 46' 1"<BR>long, have seats
for 38 passengers, each have a 4GE247 motor and K75E7<BR>controller. They were
sold to Intercity Rapid Transit (Canton, Ohio) in<BR>1932 for use as Canton to
Massillon parlor cars. Intercity Rapid Transit<BR>used them until that operation
was abandoned. They were purchased by<BR>Cleveland Interurban Railroad (Shaker
Heights Rapid Transit) on December<BR>12, 1940. Cars 60, 61 and 62 began SHRT
service (svc) on November 16, 1941<BR>while 63 was in SHRT svc on February 7,
1942, 64 in svc on March 25, 1942<BR>and car 65 started svc on June 4, 1942.
SHRT renumbered the cars to the 60<BR>through 65 numbers. The original numbers
(Intercity Rapid Transit) are as<BR>follows: 60=260; 61=235; 62=245; 63=200;
64=240; 65=230. They served SHRT<BR>until sold to Kenosha Motor Coach Lines
(Milwaukee Speedrail) during<BR>September, 1949. These cars were given the
