<DIV>You're correct about the date on the photo I posted - it was taken in 1962, not 1965. According to Harry Stegmaier's book, "B&O Passenger Service, Vol. 2", the Daylight Speedliner (21 and 22) switched from the P&LE to the B&O station on 10/20/61. The switch was made to reduce terminal costs at the P&LE station, and also to allow the Daylight Speedliner equipment to operate as two Pttsburgh commuter trains during their layover in the B&O station. After train 21 arrived in Pittsburgh from Baltmore, its equipment made a round trip to Versailles, and the next morning made another round trip to Versailles before leaving Pittsburgh for Baltimore as train 22. This pattern continued until the last day for trains 21-22 on 1/21/63. After that, the Daylight Speedliner equipment continued to operate in B&O (later MARC) commuter service between Baltimore, D.C. and Brunswick until early 1993.</DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>Nice shot of that equipment, but if it were taken in 1965 it was the FORMER <BR>Daylight Speedliner 's equipment. The Speedliner came off, AIR, in January <BR>1963 (I'm not where my records are and am going from memory). I rode the <BR>last EB and WB runs between Pgh and Connellsville. I think the switchover <BR>from P&LE to B&O stations came either in late 1959 or early 60s, as I have <BR>shot of the Speedliner in the P&LE station in the summer of 1959.<BR>
