<div dir="ltr">As long as you&#39;re speaking of the Liberty Tunnels, here are two comparison photos. One is the South Portal in 1932 and the other is an artist rendering of how tthe South Portal will look in 2014 when the current renovation of the tunnels is complete. As for the sidewalk through the tunnel, it was removed in the last reconstruction in the 1970s.<br>

This reminds me of a stunt I pulled that I&#39;ll bet none of you were dumb<br>

walked it most of the way.  It was back when they still had a sidewalk about<br>
three feet above the roadway so I was not in the traffic.  It still scared<br>
the crap out of me.<br>
