<div dir="ltr">the "shadow-test" list shouldnt accept mail, but i guess it still does. i was trying to see if i could turn off ecartis and still have a list server that worked; ecartis hasn't been updated on my old computer in a while, whereas mailman was something standard which was easy to switch to and in theory someone other than just me can take care of it. that hasn't happened yet but in the event i am incapacitated more severely or longer than this past time, it seems prudent to be using something "off the shelf".<br>

FYI:<br>
<br>
The info below about "Dave's" was originally sent 07-October-2013.
When I learned it did not 'take,' I both emailed the list-meister
and checked the monthly reminder thus choosing what seemed most
likely to work and apparently did as several informed me. Yet this
email seems to say: 'it did not take!'<br>

I was privately referred to another webpage where the only
list-email available is identical to the one I used 07-October. I
am told it should work ....... but shall it?<br>

In Many Ways, digital seems to be not only a step but a leap and
much more in the BackWard Direction. I would Not trust important
files to digital-only storage. Good Old Paper is the best, and
preferably before computer 'inks' became available. Even photos are
better on 'paper;' digi-photos more than a decade old are
disintegrating with the bottom half gone and the rest full of
stripes. I have not surveyed to see how extensive is this problem,
but it is far from encouraging.<br>

Lettuce see what happens! Hit send, ....... and .......<br>
