Dennis,

That is a very good piece. I'm saving the video to my pc.

Interesting also is that I too had perfect attendance from 7th through 12th grades. Of the several things for which I was given certificates at our Senior Recognition Ceremony at Akron Central High School I was definitely most proud of the perfect attendance certificate.

On 11/22/1963 I was 18 and out of high school and went (commuted) to Kent State University in the morning and worked at the Akron Public Library in the afternoon. After LBJ became President my higher education plans changed and I finished my education with BCT and AIT at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and US Army Engineer School at Fort Belvoir, VA.
The three fifth grade classes were in the cafeteria/gymnasium for an assembly program when the secretary of the school came to the door and whispered to the teachers. They began crying and I remember being sent home. We watched through the Monday funeral. I was taken with the bands playing the hymns & dirges plus the associations with the Lincoln assassination. I have always been a Lincoln fan and a fan of hymns played by a band. I live in the same home where I watched.
Some side thoughts: Mrs Enterline gave me a silver dollar for perfect attendance that year. I missed one day in sixth grade and then had perfect attendance in grades 7-12. No one else ever recognized me and I still have the silver dollar
One of the drums and the bugle used at the Kennedy funeral are on display in Brucker Hall (band building) at Fort Myer, VA. I once did a tour of Fort Myer and got to see the empty stall where Black Jack was stabled. The equestrian unit there still performs with dignity & respect.
I don't know if you have any interest, but this is a recording of my new composition titled, The Eternal Flame.http://youtu.be/KTkS1I_85b8I will eventually have better quality image and sound, but I wanted to give people an idea of what I have been working on for the past 4 months composing and rehearsing.
The local paper did a short article:http://triblive.com/news/armstrong/5119383-74/kennedy-ellermeyer-kittanning#axzz2lTNM7jGn
