The Syria Mosque memory is of Sir Thomas Beecham, probably the late 1950s, and there is an impression of a Haydn symphony on the program. I was probably around 11-12. <BR> <BR>And the Civic Arena was the venue for British band concerts, but they have been skipping Pittsburgh recent years. Even Hershey is no longer on the British band circuit. Concur that it would be nice sometimes to revisit times past. Unfortunately ..... guess will have to go to Edinburgh.<BR> <BR>Fred's being overly dramatic about the Lancaster malls - what's left of department stores are concentrated at Park City. Much better access than downtown Lancaster, and it's enclosed.
