<div dir="ltr">I live on Brownsville Road about one block North of <span style class="">Brentwood</span> Loop. The next major street North of my building is <span style class="">Sankey</span> Avenue. North of <span style class="">Sankey</span> Avenue the city of Pittsburgh occupies both sides of Brownsville Road. South of <span style class="">Sankey</span> Avenue, all the way to <span style class="">Brentwood</span> Loop, the city of Pittsburgh (<span style class="">Carrick</span> district) occupies the West side of Brownsville and the Borough of <span style class="">Brentwood</span> occupies the East side of Brownsville. However, it all looks like Carson Street in South Side Flats, Liberty Avenue in Bloomfield, Butler Street in <span style class="">Lawrenceville</span>, or Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill. So, I just say I live in <span style class="">Carrick</span> since it looks like any other combination business/residential neighborhood in Pittsburgh anyway. If "push came to shove" I would definitely vote to have the strip along Brownsville between <span style class="">Sankey</span> Avenue and <span style class="">Brentwood</span> Loop annexed to the city of Pittsburgh. <br>
<br>Then, of course, South of <span style class="">Brentwood</span> Loop, the Borough of <span style class="">Brentwood</span> occupies both sides of Brownsville Road. They have front yards from there South !! A "front yard" is something I can definitely do without also. I do my voting in <span style class="">Brentwood</span> and have the Police, Fire, and EMS services of <span style class="">Brentwood</span>. Otherwise it looks and feels just like the other side of the street which is in Pittsburgh. <span style class="">Comprende</span>` ? <br>

<div class="im">Many of the boroughs publish a "Community Calendar" and distribute it to<br>
all borough residents, Brentwood being one of those who give the calendar.<br>
It arrived in today's mail and I was surprised to see the subject of each<br>
month were paintings by Mary Lois Verilla. Ms. Verilla is noted for her<br>
painting depicting Pittsburgh life both past and present. The Brentwood<br>
Community Calendar for 2014 includes four paintings with streetcars. I know<br>
one of them (the one with Kaufman's Clock) has been shown here on The List<br>
in the past. The remaining three, however, I do not recall ever being shown<br>
here. So here are all four of the paintings from the Brentwood Borough 2014<br>
Community Calendar.<br>
