Consolidated Traction 901; there was a sister car 900 that apparently<br>
wasn't needed for the purpose after the great consolidation. I became M246<br>
but was not used for mail.<br>

So while the record available shows nothing, I think the photo was a<br>
learning experience... they were certainly towing a trailer full of mail?<br>
sacks somewhere from West Carson Street. It could have been mail from P&LE<br>
headed to the GPO.<br>
