<DIV aria-label="Compose body">I didn't see "Chicago Fire" program, but I suspect that the scene was shot at the Illinois Railway Museum about 50 miles northwest of Chicago. With 500 pieces of rail equipment of all types, it has large metal barns like the TDB, trolley wire on bracket arms, and plenty of freight cars on the grounds. The 5-mile mainline at the museum has wire for interurbans with trolley poles; the streetcar line makes a large loop around the property, and connects with the mainline. The museum grounds are extensive and are surrounded by farms. Many movies have been filmed at IRM, often using their 1940's Burlington Zephyr articulated train set.<BR></DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>Earlier this week I watched the weekly running, on NBC, of the drama<BR>"Chicago Fire". The program is taped, live, in the city of Chicago. This<BR>weeks episode was a re-run which I did watch several weeks ago. This second<BR>time through it, rather than follow the action of the characters, I paid<BR>close attention to what was going on in the background.<BR>
<DIV><BR></DIV>Normally, being taped in Chicago, all outdoor scenes are very "urban" in<BR>nature. This episode had a scene where a commuter train came off the tracks<BR>and caused lots of drama. This scene was not in an urban area however. It<BR>was in a more open setting outside the city.<BR>
<DIV><BR></DIV>I noticed, in the background, single-arm bracket trolley overhead poles<BR>along the side of a long building similar "in looks" to the TDB at PTM. The<BR>building was kind of a neutral color with a red roof and was a considerable<BR>distance in length. Some shots toward one end of that building gave a view<BR>of the trolley wire on bracket arms giving way to regular span wires over<BR>what could have been a yard area. There were several "vintage" railroad<BR>freight cars parked on the tracks in that area.<BR>
<DIV><BR></DIV>The question is, where in Chicago is there an electric railroad using<BR>regular trolley wire?<BR>
