<DIV><BR></DIV>Thanks Herb. The Empire Builder is one of my favorite routes. I guess because it goes to one of my favorite national parks. For those of you who poo-poo Amtrak, you should give this train a try. The wine tasting for the sleeper passengers is a great way to spend the afternoon and the scenery is spectacular.<BR>This video is kind of over the top, but does give a good sense of today's train and the history behind it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0JbmfXgnyY&list=WL&index=3<BR>The attached images are of the eastbound Empire Builder coming into Whitefish, Montana (with the yours truly in the shadow) and Marias Pass from the train. <BR>
