<div dir="ltr">D Cramer,<br><div><br>I've been a passenger on the Empire Builder three times from Pittsburgh to Sparta, WI (Fort McCoy) and return. That was when I worked for the Dept of the Army on Leech Farm Road. The civilian administrative training center was at Fort McCoy, WI. Under the JTR civilian employees who were required to travel had the choice of flying coach or taking Amtrak first class. It didn't take much thinking for me to select Amtrak. It is an excellent train and has excellent service, especially in First Class.<br>

Thanks Herb. The Empire Builder is one of my favorite routes. I guess because it goes to one of my favorite national parks. For those of you who poo-poo Amtrak, you should give this train a try. The wine tasting for the sleeper passengers is a great way to spend the afternoon and the scenery is spectacular.<br>
