On Monday the Senate is expected to vote on the Stimulus Package. Rep. Jim Oberstar (D-MN) - a true fighter for traction just like the late Paul Weyrich - has kicked up the New Starts funding from $1 billion to $2.5 billion. If this passes Monday, there will be a new dawn for electric rail across America. Say a prayer. (Thank you, Rep. Oberstar.)
