That's good news, Larry Allan.

Digital copies at ten bucks each, seems pricey, will they allow
photostats or copying the pix with a camera?

Now, as information for the list:

It is quite an article as I have Milwaukee Journal print of it from 1972
and another account of it from Scale Model Traction & Trolleys.

My elderly brain tells me that there have been other failures at that
site, since this one. I seem to recall a photo of a car stranded out
there as it was behind the washout. Passengers had to walk around the
site, in both directions.

I've just re-read an account published in Scale Model Traction &
Trolleys Quarterly, of this same failure. This article is far more
detailed than that which appeared in The Milwaukee Journal (wonder what
the Milwaukee Sentinel and/or the old Wisconsin News, reported on this
matter) as those articles should be of interest, also.

For the record, the Wisconsin News, a competitive afternoon paper,
failed in the late 1930's and was merged into the Milwaukee Sentinel,
which then was a morning paper.
