I believed that REAL pictures had to be done in size 616 black &
white. When I was in the Army in 1952 I got a 35 camera and shot
slides but I never really filed them or used them for much. I just
stuck all the slides in boxes over the years. In 1976 I put the
camera away when I did my grad work. When you run an air freight
service and spend 2 evening and a week end, hobbies went into the
closet. In the later 1979, I was ready to go back. And then---NO
616. My albums were based on photos. Back in the 1940s, B&W prints
were 1 or 2 cents each. Color slide prints were around $100 dye
process prints. In 1979, both prints color and black & white were
around 40 cents each. So I got into slides. I dug around and found
a bunch of my old slides and they are slowly being worked into my
site which started in 1998. A bunch of the slides are Ektachrome and
the colors are pretty rough. I have 2 new software programs which
seem to be doing a little better each time I mess around with them.
I don't know where the guy got a copy of my photo. It may have been
one of the prints I had done back in the 80s.
Now I keep working and adding more stuff every day. I have an index
on TM http://donsdepot.donrossgroup.net/indextm.htm
And Speedrail http://donsdepot.donrossgroup.net/indexmrt.htm
And Milwaukee Northern http://donsdepot.donrossgroup.net/dr2280.htm
Also North Shore http://donsdepot.donrossgroup.net/indexcns.htm
When I add or correct pages, I put a new date on the page and on the
index. So if you swing by on my site, you can know where there is
new stuff to see.
Merrry Christmas and Happy New Year
