Boy, this is a terrible location for a sinkhole--one block east of the 30th Avenue Wye. So use of that switchback is out! Paul a long time traction modeler, traction fan and radio personality originally was from San Francisco. He was a popular radio DJ and announcer in San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles and other cities. Ue wrote several books and was acknowledged as the "expert" on trolley coaches. He also narrated several videos. He last lived in the foothills of La Canada for the past 15 years or so, a Los Angeles Suburb. Paul was always active in local radio and trolley clubs and museums wherever he lived and he had many friends across the country. I personally knew Paul for over 50 years and always considered him a good friend as we sheared many interest together throughout the years. I will certainly miss him and his sense of humor, the way he did things and his deep voice very much. As I remember more and recover from this bad news I will write a little more on his life. Alan
