Business leaders support dedicated funding for transit, discuss growth
plans.

On behalf of Julia Taylor and the Greater Milwaukee Committee, below
please find details of an upcoming news conference hosted by Tim
Sullivan. CEOs and Governor Jim Doyle will discuss transit legislation
for southeastern Wisconsin.

Governor Doyle and local elected officials will join the region's
top CEOs, and labor representative in urging the state legislature and
local community to support transit legislation that implements dedicated funding for transit at a news conference.

Noting the opening of the legislative session on Tuesday, speakers will discuss support for moving forward with legislation that addresses the current transit funding needs of the region. They will also discuss the link between transit and economic development, and potential expansion plans that are dependent upon the future of local transit.
