The back was definitely "bricked in". I think it was after 1949, I believe
I had a picture from 1949 showing a porch on that side, I'll look tonight.
The Transit Gloria Mundi South Hills tape has a good shot of that side and
there is no porch. I've already modified my mock-up.

How many pains are in the windows. From what I can see the bottom of each
double hung window has a single pain while the top has many small pains.
Does anyone know for sure?

Bob

Greetings!

Looking at that photo from Ray Lattner again - it appears that the
porch on the building ran aound at least three sides - these sides being
the most prone to having people on them for one reason or another. On
the *back porch* it appears that either a door is open or there is
another bay that sticks out possibly closer to the north end but not on
the end and apparently not exactly in the middle.
And from the 2/3 view from the South Park book, it looks like the
south
end of the building may have been extended and bricked in to obliterate
any porch which might have been here. I noticed this possibility from
another photo - the south end brick seemed to be newer than the rest of
the building.
