Please, Folks, may I make a request?

When replying to another message on this list, let's just quote a pertinent
line or paragraph, followed by our response.

With my reader, at least, it's frustrating trying to locate a three-word
response amongst the lines and lines of header information followed by the
entire previous message (or, often, message within message within message.)

The automatic quote feature of many readers is [bleep] but it's a small
effort to delete that quote, then proceed with a little judicious cutting
and pasting. The rewards will return to us manyfold.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I save most messages at least for a
while, so can easily go back over them if I need to find a reference. Plus,
my memory isn't quite shot just yet.

This is my soapbox for the day, going out to several forums. And, be
assured, I'll be sending it out again in the future!
