	The 42/38 was a late comer to the fraction lines.  Owl service for both 
the 42 and 38 lines was the 42/38 with the first outbound car leaving downtown at 
1.02 AM with hourly service until the last car went through at 5.02 AM.  The route 
for the owl downtown was Smithfield, Liberty, and Wood and the leaving times were 
from Wood and 5th.
	The 42/38 became a *new route* at all hours when these two lines were 
permanently combined on Sunday, 1963.05.26 seven days a week.  But before that, 
the 42 Dormont was a 42/38 on Saturdays starting some time in 1962 with full 
service still operating on the 38 Mt. Lebanon.  In less than a year, this became 
({[PAT]}) service.
