Maroon to "Yellow"

About 1924-25. I'd have to look to be more precise. The 3750s, I think,
were the first to be delivered orange. The idea, of course, was visibility.
Orange is much brighter and easier to see under a variety of lighting
conditions than maroon. The industry was heavy into safety campaigns during
this ear owing to the rise in popularity of automobiles and their propensity
to crash into streetcars without warning!

Greetings!

Some of the early low floor cars were painted maroon like their big
sisters, the high floor cars! What year was the change made to
"Pittsburgh-traction-orange-mellow-yellow?"!
