Assuming that I have interpreted the column correctly, I am at a loss
to explain how, for example, the short Charles Street Transfer and
Library Street lines would be assigned 6 cars. Such over-assignment
seems too consistent among short shuttle lines to be a mistake.

How do we explain four cars on the Bon Air - a totally single track
line without passing sidings not even 3/4 miles?

Also, how do we explain one car after peak on Washington to Pittsburgh
with 60 minute headways and 58.02 miles round trip? Also, how do we
explain 2 cars after peak on Charleroi with 30 minute headways and 65.24
miles roundtrip? The PCC was a-l-m-o-s-t that fast (?!!!) but it
wouldn't debut for another 40 years!

What I *assume* --- in the case of the interurbans --- is that this
is the car assignment from the local Car House - Charleroi or
Tylerdale. In 1910, this was the only interurban Car House as Castle
Shannon didn't come into play until 1912 and car assignments were split
between locations -- so even that can't be an explanation. I have
glanced thru the list and don't see any other car assignments for the
interurbans.

We must be missing some other interpretation - like number of trips per
hour. That would make more sense. Six trips/hour on Charles Street - 4
trips/hour on Bon Air - 2 trips an hour on Charleroi - 1 trip an hour on
Washington. All this matches the headway information but seems
redundant!
