Taking into consideration Route Name, Headway, and Number of Cars (from the
table) and then looking at a PRCo. track map, could 305-KNOXVILLE-MT
OLIVER-CARRICK have been what became 53-CARRICK and could
318-CARRICK-KNOXVILLE have been what became 47-CARRICK via TUNNEL?

I have researched my files on Pgh. history and can find no reference to a
physical place named "Bell House." Perhaps someone in Pgh with access to the
Carnegie Library could research this.

18th STREET FRANCHISE remains a mystery.

J & L TRIPPERS were probably extra cars sent to the mill to take or bring
home workers. When I worked for PATransit we had many 'Mill Trippers.' I
used
to work on (on buses) that went to the Blawnox area and ran from there to
East Liberty. This was in the afternoon. In the morning it ran reverse from
East Liberty to Blawnox. The "day card" (called schedule card/paddle/route
card in other cities) did list the route as "Mill Tripper-Blawnox-E.
Liberty.
