I'm not aware of any trackage on 18th Street that didn't see uninterrupted 
revenue service into the 1970s.

The return distance of 10.28 miles is a significant route, but it is peak-hour 
only, and not particularly heavily-served (20 minute headway.) Franchise 
cars typically operated only once a day, or once a week or whatever. Is it 
possible that this was a service required by the franchise, rather than just a 
car run to keep the track legally open? Sort of like the Parliamentary trains 
("parleys") in the UK.

I do not see on the list, BTW, anything easily recognisable as a South Side 
- Oakland service. I know that there was no North Side - Carrick in those 
days (a portion of that route can be seen in 602 Bloomfield Loop, right?) but 
there must surely have been something crossing the Brady Street Bridge.
