Greetings!

PRMA also published another 8 page booklet about the experimental,
pre-PCC lightweights -- 6000-(2), 6001-(2), and
6002 The Second. The first two cars were a distinct departure from the
*norm* in Pgh for, while single-end cars, they had doors only at the
front and rear. Front and center doors were firmly established with the
almost 1,000 low floor cars in use at this time! Even the 1917 Brill
and 1928 St. Louis interurbans used front and center doors!

At any rate, here is a quote from this booklet:::::::

"After the three cars had been demonstrated to riders on various lines
throughout the city, they ended up spending most of their time on Route
38-MtLebanon. . ."
"These three cars were the pride of the system throughout the early
thirties . . ."

Showing off the best equipment in the *upscale* neighborhoods!

Most of the photos are construction photos and publicity photos before
the 38-line days. Twould be nice to see photos of these cars in service
on the 38-line!
