Charleroi Schedules -- & Car House

Greetings!

	Dr. Ed sent me a copy of the January 1950 schedule for Charleroi and I
am now looking it over after my post about the carbarn.  There are two
cars that leave the Car House and go directly to Pgh - 4.24 and 4.54 AM.
	But there are also two that leave the Car House at 4.07 and 4.37 AM and
go to Roscoe first and presumably leave Roscoe for Pgh at 4.52 and 5.22
AM.  These pull out cars get a 15 min layover at Roscoe while the car
that left Pgh at 3.30 AM to arrive Roscoe at 5.37 AM only gets 11
minutes layover - he leaves at 5.48 AM!
	The car leaving Pgh for Charleroi at 10.30 PM has a note:
"To Charleroi Car House--Mon. thru Fri."  Apparently it does not go any
further south than the Car House - so that car is facing the correct
direction to pull out toward Roscoe in the morning without having to
turn the car around!!  The  11.30 PM car leaving Pgh also only goes as
far south as the Charleroi Car House Mon thru Fri only (actually Sun
night thru Thur night.)  But on Saturday the 10.30 PM car goes all the
way to Roscoe, arriving there at 12.37 AM, and leaves there at 12.52 AM
(which might also be considered Friday night) and goes north to the Car
House.
	But the schedule is different for (Saturday Night) actually Sunday
morning.  The 10.30 PM car leaving Pgh. Saturday Night goes all the way
to Roscoe, again arriving at 12.37 AM Sunday.  It leaves Roscoe at 12.52
AM  b-u-t  goes to Riverview  --  arriving at and leaving from the loop
at 1.50 AM to get back to the Charleroi Car House at 2.17 AM!!
	So maybe there wasn't any way to turn cars at Charleroi Car House
without running them to Riverview Loop (or Roscoe Loop - depending on
which way you want the cars facing!)  So to provide for cars to head to
Roscoe in the morning, it was built into the schedule that southbound
cars terminated at the Car House!
