Personally, I don't see how anyone could like the Boeing-Vertol cars. I
do like the CLRVs though they don't ride as well as the PCC cars they
replaced. The San Diego cars (both series) are fast and fun to ride. I
could almost picture the first generation S-D cars with a single
headlight, trolley poles and pilots. One critic has mentioned that most
modern LRV look like insects...
San Diego does run their system with a sense of urgency. LA and
Pittsburgh seems to slow their cars down everytime a grade crossing
accident occurs. Hello? The train/trolley ALWAYS has the right of way...

At least San Jose doesn't try to outdo the New Haven in catenary
comstruction.

A slow ride, for sure. The cars are well maintained, but the county cops
who ride are scarier than the gang members they are watching. Ken J.
