Palm Garden was a large dance hall up on the hill above the lower end of the
PRCo yard, at the stop of the same name. There is a nice postcard of it in
the PTM Library. It was actually on the outbound side, just before Boggs
Avenue and thus just before the trestle.

I read from an April 15, 1958 article in the Pittsburgh Press that several
trestles were thrown up while the digging of the tunnel was in progress.
When the trolley tunnel opened one of Pittsburgh's most famous dance
pavilion's - Palm Garden - flourished near the end of one of those trestles.

It didn't say which end, but Palm Garden Village apartments sit above the
tracks on the inbound side.
