We have the paint record book but the details are sketchy, especially in
later years. Until the late WW II years, the normal cycle was about 4 years
(including most of the early PCCs) but of course this changed dramatically
as the passengers dried up.
This book is useful, however, to discredit stories such as "3807 took one
trip to Charleroi and came back with body so warped that it never ran
again." If that were true, why was the car painted twice?!
