Trolley Pole Wheels

Easter Greetings:
I have three pole wheels from the South Hills Car Shops which I came by
sometime in the early 60's. One is a "used" wheel, the other two new
"seconds" never used due to bad castings, or decentered hub bores. All
three differ in some dimensional aspect, but all have the "V" slot
configuration which is about all they do have in common.
Wheel #1 has a 4-spoke hub configuration with a spoke breadth of 7/8"
and hub bore diam. of 3/4" Wheel diam: 6" x 1-7/16" width peak to peak
of the "V" channel. Channel depth: 5/8".
Wheel #2 (Older wheel) has a 4-spoke hub also, but the stock of each
spoke is only 1/2" in breadth making the wheel a bit less weighty.
The hub bore diam. is also 3/4'.
Wheel diameter is 5-7/8" ,a bit smaller than #1 wheel, but the V-channel
is identical.
Wheel #3 is what I call an "ice remover wheel",
and has a special configuration that uses a series of
alternating/opposing knuckles within the V- channel of the wheel. The
wheel is solid from the hub on out to within an inch of its outermost
diameter which, at that poinf, there is a circle of twenty small oval
holes..The diameter of this particular wheel is 5-3/4" with the hub bore
measuring 7/8".
On another note, I may have one of those wood insulators as well???
Didn't know exactly what role it played in the overhead arrays until it
was recently described by J.H. The piece I have has an unpainted old
hardwood leg that measures 5" long x ~1-3/4" diameter at its thickest
tapering at each end where mating with opposing cast sleeves with eye
rings. The entire piece tip to tip measures 11-3/4."
Does this meet with the description of a wire insulator, or do I have
something else in the cable arena?
