Greetings!
This is a copy of a slide which I purchased 30--40 years ago, possibly
from 35-slides of Colorado which is no longer in business (hope someone
bought their collection!)
Does look like just east of Pgh but don't specifically know the
location.
Yes - that is a portable crossover behind the car for track
reconstruction. This allows for one track to be used for both
directions while the other is repaired or rebuilt. Bob Rathke referred
to this on the 16th St bridge in a 1951 rebuilding.
