A rail much travelled by my grandfather and I during the early part of the
60's, on the 77/54.  As I mentioned sometime back, I distinctly recall what a
smooth ride it was crossing, rather swiftly, I thought, the 16th street bridge
on the PCC.  Someone else on this list recalled that the rail had been
replaced some time in the 50's.
