Allegheny County took photos of Woodruff Street after the abandonment but
before anything was disturbed. PTM Library has Xeroxes of a number of
these. Would have to look up details.

Interesting piece regarding the 33 shuttle, or whatever it was. Shiloh
and Virginia was a familiar location for me in childhood days when
pressed into service picking up baked goods at Knells Bakery, and an
occasional spool of thread from Skirball's 5 & 10 on Shiloh Street.
I knew the 40 Mt.Washington route like the back of my hand, but the 33?
This must've been discontinued and covered over prior to 1945, the year
I started roaming the area. I can't recall that one at all, and my
memory bank is stilll in order. Would be great if someone had a photo of
that intersection along with a #33 car, or anything along Virginia or
Woodruff. Hey, I'll even take them with just the rails shown.
Anything further posted re this particular route would be very
interesting. Thanks.
