I have no information on Cities Service transit properties, but in 1958,
their gasolene stations were giving away portfolios of paintings of
historic railroad locomotives. And in August, 1958, Cities Service had a
booth in the exhibit room at the NMRA Convention at the William Penn
Hotel (now the Westin) in Pittsburgh; the booth displayed the railroad
photos that were being given away. The other exhibitors were model
manufacturers (kits, paint, etc.) - why would a gasolene company have an
exhibit at a model railroad show? Because of its rail connections?

And, I just checked my CITGO credit card and billing file. Neither of
them even mentions the words, "gasolene" or "gasoline" (they refer to
"retail products"). The current company name is CITGO Petroleum Corp. I
still have a set of the 1958 railroad portfolios, and will be glad to
check them for other information if anyone needs it.
