I'm curious Bob.  That's the nature of the beast.  By the way, the 1924
McGraw Directory (page 223) two columns of subsidiary companies, mostly all
petroleum organizations.  But a few transit properties pop out without any
further checking:  Adrian St. Ry., Athens Railway and Electric Co., City
Light and Traction Co., Cumberland and Westernport Electric Railway Co.,
Durham Public Service Co., Meridian Light and Railway Co. (including
Harttiesburg Traction Co.), The Ohio Public Service Co. (with apologies to
EHL), St. Joseph Ry. Lt. Heat & Pwr. Co., Toledo, Ottawa Beach & NOrthern
Ry., Toledo Traction Light and Power Co., and a number of other properties
with suspicious names that cause me to suspect linkages to railways.
