I have one of the large (approx. 9X12"), November,1964 editions which was
printed on uncoated paper, and totaled 520 pages. I also have the
November, 1980 edition which shrunk to about 8-1/2X11" size, but was
printed on coated paper and expanded to 670 pages, so the photos in it
are much sharper than in the original editions.
I'll have to check to see if any additional rail photos were added to the
1980 edition. I did note that the dust jacket on the 1964 edition
contains a PAINTING of the Golden Triangle, circa 1960, while the dust
jacket on the 1980 edition contains a similar view except that it's a
1980-ish PHOTO.
I didn't realize that I kept post cards in these books. I found a 1958
post card showing a detailed rendering of the stadium that was being
planned at that time - the stadium is suspended between double bridges
over the Monongahela River at Smithfield St.!
