Just taking a break from Christmas doings to read my e-mail, and thought
I'd reply to John's message below.
I can vouch for the superb quality of his trolley slides. I first met
John in the mid-60's, but lost track of him until recently when I saw
his name on Pittsburgh e-mail posts. A few weeks ago I reminded him of
the slide shows that he and other fans from Toronto used to put on at
the old Sherwyn Hotel (now a dormitory building for Point Park College,
I believe) in Pittsburgh. John was using top line 35mm camera equipment
at that time, and seeing his results at those slide shows was the
motivation for me to advance to Nikon cameras in 1967. I especially
remember the night slides he took of TTC crews removing trackwork from
Bloor St. after the subway replaced street cars there.
A slide show would be a great idea.
