Somewhat Off-Topic -- Busways.

Greetings!

	I just received a request from someone where light rail and busways are
being considered.  This is probably handled best OFF--LIST and I would
prefer private replies.  If you are able to provide good solid
references or contacts, please click on my mail address in blue below to
reply.

	Here is the observation and question as I received it:

	"I noticed the Pittsburgh connection in you extended signature.  We're
still fighting the 30 year old battle between LRT and busway.  I'm
wondering if you have any knowledge, or know of someone, who can explain
what's going on with the West Busway.  How can a 6 mile busway generate
construction estimates of $516 million?  How can they save $190 million
by making it one mile shorter?"
