Photo Archival Sleeves

Greetings!
THANKS to those who responded concerning photo storage.
I do remember Ed talking about nitrates a while back, before Fred came
on list. Don't have anything like that but do have some negs from about
the mid-50s, but they should be no problem. Will have to look to see if
any of it is safety film! That name probably stuck around for a while,
even after nitrates were all gone!
The package by Avery does state *Poly-Vu* and *acid-free* but mentions
the sleeves are for paper use; no mention is made of photos.
Think I shall err on the side of caution and avoid these and look for
the standard photo archival sleeves. The photos I am storing were
recently printed so they should be free and clear of contaminants.
