PCCs Needed

Dale Laird of Vancouver's Transit Museum Society has been inquiring
about PCCs for sale.

I know a number of Pittsburgh 16s and 17s have made it into private
hands over the years. Do any of you suppose one of these cars might be
available for sale? I do not know if Mr. Laird would consider a long
term lease or even a broad gauge car.

I do know that his group rescued a couple of derelict "preserved" BCER
interurban cars and have worked wonders with them. Anyone who has seen
BCER 1207 can attest to this. They also maintain a fleet of BCER/BCT
trolley coaches and internal combustion buses that are in beautiful
condition. 

I can picture a 1600 painted up as a BCER car, but a 1700? Why not? :-)
