I think the PTM publication *Pittsburgh Trolley Pictorial* has a photo
of a 1200 (maybe 1200 itself) being off-loaded from a flat car at
Millvale and it clearly has the wheel-tread brake shoes. I have a photo
of 1204 as a brand new car on Brookline (MD McCarter #N10654) and it has
wheel tread brake shoes.
The only air cars which came with drums instead of wheel-tread brake
shoes were the 1600s.
FOUND! Cliff Scholes photo #PGH-0162 has 1215 still sitting on a
flat-car and the trucks are clearly visible and the car has wheel-tread
brake shoes.
