(This is a general reply and is not directed toward Derrick or anyone
else. I just felt a need to preach to the congregation.)

Being personally involved in a small book project and also giving my
time and efforts at a major trolley museum, I realize that everything takes
time. It is very easy to become cynical and many of us have waited many
years for things that may never occur. However, we should remain positive.
The people working behind the scenes often have a "life" outside of
railroads or traction and must balance many different things at one time.
Patience is a virtue. As a musician, I know nothing comes quickly. It
takes years of practice to achieve a certain level and then we must work
harder to maintain that level. We constantly practice to be prepared for
that call that may or may not come.
We must be willing to donate reality based involvement to further the
preservation of history. Visit a museum and volunteer to help. We need
everyone's talent and energy. The founders and long time members of the
Pennsylvania Trolley Museum toiled for years to create what we have there
today. Some of them will never see the finished product, because it will
never be finished.
In music, we perform for the joy of performing, not to be finished and
go home.
I hope we all do what we are capable of and within our means. I guess
the musician and teacher in me refuses to give up.
