Based on the sign box, I would agree. I can't, however, recall any
photos of Philly cars having that "step up" on the roof behind the
vestibule. Is that a Brill Master Unit in the background? I wonder if
this is a Brooklyn car?
As for the first photo, the car looks a bit long for a Birney body, has
doors at both ends and what appears to be an older style truck. Perhaps
this was once a deck roof passenger car that was wrecked or burnt. It
may have been rebuilt into an arch roof work car. The number stencils
give me a Philadelphia or perhaps Brooklyn "feel." Ken J.
