A PRC troop train!

Greetings!
Absolutely fascinating account of the PRCo troop trains! Thanks for
sharing this with us.
Since you took the troop train in 1951, could you relate any memories
about PRCo in these days? Memories of the 3700s and 3800s to Charleroi,
Roscoe, and Washington - memories of the PCCs to the same, the operation
to Sewickley over Neville Island, the run out to Etna, and anything else
PRCo about 1950?
While 1950 might not be the glory days of the system, virtually
anything ever owned was still in service with the older equipment
converted to work cars - even little M-1 had recently been
decommissioned as a *Pay-Car.* The fact that the interurban lines
remained intact is another virtue. Although this was the
beginning-of-the-end for PRCo in 1950, it is still a very fascinating
time!
